Father I cling to Your unchanging word,
and trust You in the storms of this life.
Even when I cannot see or understand;
You are my Hope and I will stand in victory!
Series Focus: Resurrecting Hope in the Midst of Life’s Storms
While it is so much easier to share stories about the feel good moments of our lives, sometimes we have to talk about the hard stuff. What are the struggles that make us uncomfortable, challenge us, and maybe even seek to destroy us? Those experiences that take every part of us to stand in faith and believe that God’s word is true and His promises are real – for us.
“Resurrecting Hope in the Midst of Life’s Storms” is a series we believe will reveal the very depth of God’s love for us. We will be searching scripture to find what God says about those storms that knock the wind out of us. Perhaps you are in a storm right now. You might even be battling the enemy for ownership of your faith. Can you stand on God’s truth for your life? Can you trust Him with everything? Are you afraid?
This series will challenge us to be introspective. We will need to delve into the deepest places of our hearts, our minds and our lives. Where do we stand with Jesus? Is He who we turn to in times of trouble and hardship? Is Faith in Him our firm foundation? Do we abide in His teachings to strengthen us? As hard as it may seem to conquer these giants – these strongholds – we can achieve victory with the Resurrecting Hope of Jesus Christ.
Take a moment to focus on the following scriptures to be reminded of why we can believe God is our help, the One, who sets us free from all that weighs us down:
For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. (Job 19:25)
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindicationfrom me, declares the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)
Find encouragement in God’s word! He can be trusted. Just because we never know what troubles tomorrow may bring doesn’t mean we have to face them unarmed. We know for certain that by being rooted in the promises and hope of Jesus, we can withstand them.
Whether you need a fresh reminder of the Resurrecting Hope Jesus provided when He died for our transgressions, or you are in desperate need of your personal hope in Him being resurrected – we stand with you.
Let’s go into this series ready to break free from all that binds us, all that holds us down, and all that keeps us from a complete HOPE in Jesus Christ.
Holding Fast to Hope,
